We recently took in a lot of new surplus Flir / OSTI PVS-27's. They are beautiful with full tags and accessories (LaRue wrench still zip-tied to locking lever on the mount). Only mounting marks are from the collimation process at the factory. A copy of the redacted paperwork will be included upon request with each purchase. Additional pictures available upon request. The AN/PVS-27 MUNS (Magnum Universal Night Sight) is a high-resolution Clip-On Night Vision Device that mounts to any MIL-STD-1913 rail interface forward of a riflescope. This gives the operator night vision capability from a standard day scope system. The PVS-27 utilizes a fully Mil-Spec Gen 3 PINNACLE Auo-Gated image intensifier tube, a fast f/1.0 catadioptric lens for a brighter and sharper image in starlight, and patented permanent boresight alignment technology. The S135 AN/PVS-27 Magnum Universal Night Sight is installed, operated, and removed without tools and without affecting boresight (permanent boresight alignment). The PVS-27 can be mounted in front of a spotting scope for long range reconnaissance, hand held as a night observation device, or placed in front of a riflescope for sniper applications. The UNS is optimized for medium and long-range sniper weapons, rifles, and machine guns including the Mk11, Mk12, M-16A4, SCAR-H, M240, and M-24. It is rated for calibers up to and including .50 BMG.

The AN/PVS-27 utilizes the latest ITT Gen 3 PINNACLE technology giving the operator an extremely robust system suited to any environment. The cast housing will stand up to the elements rain or shine and protects the unit from abuse found in the field. FLIR’s patented Shock Mitigation System is specially designed to protect PINNACLE tubes from damage under heavy recoil. PINNACLE tubes are usually not intended for high caliber weapons, but they are perfectly secure with the AN/PVS-27.

All Units Include: Soft Carry Case, AA Batteries (2), Operators Manual, Lens Paper, Weaver Rail Mount, Flip Up Lens Cap, and Light Shroud.

The S135 Magnum Universal Night Sight™ AN/PVS-27 is an incredibly powerful night vision weaponsight with an impressive magnification. Big brother to the AN/PVS-22, the AN/PVS-27 Magnum Universal Night Sight can be mounted in front of any boresighted daytime scope with magnification ranging from one to twenty power.


The MUNS™ does not require any boresighting and once mounted the daysight provides the aiming point. The MUNS™ maintains boresight despite normal misalignments due to mount position errors and does not alter the sighting centerline (parallax is unchanged from dayscope). The MUNS™ also contains no beam splitter or folded optics to go out of alignment.

The MUNS™ is revolutionary when used with a high magnification fixed or variable power dayscope. The magnification is provided by the dayscope, which typically has much smaller optics than those associated with normal 4X or 6X night vision weaponsights. This means there is no loss in system gain or typical f/number loss associated with large optics. Variable magnification dayscopes can actually zoom in (up to 20X) and still retain the same gain with only a slight loss in resolution.

Optimized for medium and long-range sniper weapons including the SR-25/MK11, XM107, .338 Lapua, .308 M24, Chandler & 300 Win Mag. Effective on all weapons from carbines to .50 caliber semi-automatic and bolt action sniper rifles. The MUNS™ includes Flir / OSTI's proprietary Shock Mitigation System TM, allowing the unit to be used on weapons up to and including .50 caliber bolt-action rifles. The MUNS™ is manufactured with the highest quality MIL SPEC Gen III Pinnacle, American Made Image Intensifiers.
